What's Inside

"What’s Inside" is an original animated short created by a team of five, produced under the guidance of a professor and industry professional. Developed around the theme of "imagination come to life", the film takes inspiration from fungal growths similar to "The Last of Us". Through visual storytelling, it follows the haunting transformation of an individual overtaken by infection, blending elements of horror and psychological thriller to explore themes of fear, madness, and decay.

My Role (Lead VFX and Procedural Modeling)

VFX (Lead) – Designed and executed visual effects, such as dust, to depict infection and transformation, heightening atmosphere and tension.

Procedural Modeling (Lead) – Built procedural fungus growth systems and assets to create evolving, organic environments that supported the narrative.

Concept Art – Contributed early design work that helped establish the tone, mood, and unsettling aesthetic of the short.

The film was showcased in Texas A&M University’s Visualization Spring Show, recognized for its creative storytelling, technical execution, and immersive atmosphere.
